This 8x10-inch shadow box art consists a dried Dahlia “Snowbound” and Eucalyptus “Florist Blue.”

Doc Green’s dried flower shadow boxes are one-of-a-kind, handmade works of art. Doc grows all the flowers and plant material herself on her flower farm in Winder, Georgia.  Contents of the shadow boxes are 100% natural, real dried flowers, grown with care and concern for the local ecosystem. No dyes or preservatives are used. They are 100% natural and 100% real- just how Ma Nature intended.

  • The flowers and plants in your shadow box were air-dried, pressed, or dried in silica beads. This work of art is expected to last many years, but its longevity depends on you. To keep vibrant colors, hang your shadow box indoors and away from direct sunlight. Sunlight fades the color on dried flowers!

After time, you may choose to “clean” your shadow box. While great effort is made to remove all silica beads from the flowers, occasionally you will see silica beads inside the box. Carefully open the shadow box by unlatching the back side. Turn the shadow box face up and slowly lift the frame off the flower art. Once the frame and glass are lifted off, you may gently remove any silica beads or shed plant material. The contents are glued in place, so you may carefully turn the art upside down and tap or shake it lightly. Replace the glass/frame and carefully hold it closed while re-latching.
